Please BEWARE, you could be the one who cause ur kids health issue.

Just recently, one of our supplier has ‘mistakenly’ send us the wrong Polycarbonate(PC) Avent Classic bottle, which makes me realize that we still have irresponsible seller out there, who desperately need to minimise their loss(or gain profit?) by selling banned PC  bottles that contain BPA. 

Bad bad seller!!

fyi, PC bottle was banned in most country since 2009 including Malaysia in 2012.

And, as a mommy and Avent Shop owner, I feel that it’s my responsibility to help all mommies to identify the discontinued Avent PC bottle.



How to identify?

There are only there types of Avent Classic bottle which is PC, PP and PES. 

• PP (BPA Free)- Milky like colour. more pliable material. Have adopter ring.
• PES (BPA Free) – honey like colour ( yellowish), hard material, without Adopter ring.
• PC (Contain BPA)- Clear colour. Looks like glass bottle. hard material. w/o adopter ring.

Check out my photo, the blue bottle is the PP bottle and Clear colour bottle is the PC bottle.

You can also look for BPA Free on the bottle packaging. Most of the PC bottle that seller trying to sell will not come with box and at a very low price. Under Malaysia Regulation 27A (1) of the Food Regulations 1985. Those caught violating the regulation could be fined not more than RM5,000 or sent to jail for a maximum of two years.

Since I only sell Avent bottle, I can only help to identify PC bottle for Avent Classic. Please note that Avent Natural range are all BPA Free.

Maybe other sellers who sell other bottle’s brand can help to share your knowledge on how to identify PC bottle for other bottle's brand.
